Mr T.C. Nguyen
,Mr Thang Chien (TC) Nguyen was born in Vietnam in 1972. He arrived in Australia via boat with his family in 1978.
He graduated Dux from Kealba High School in Western Victoria in 1996. After attending Melbourne University and matriculating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), he initially trained at The Austin & Repatriation Medical Centre until achieving his FRACS in General Surgery in 2006. During this period he also studied for the Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics and Epidemiology in 2002.
His post-Fellowship training for the next three years was in colorectal surgery, including with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia & New Zealand (CSSANZ) in various local and overseas positions, in the areas of advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic/colonoscopic surgery, faecal incontinence, functional bowel disorders, recurrent and complex colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, transanal endoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery.
Mr Nguyen is married and has two children. When he's not working he enjoys fishing, travelling, and fine dining with friends.
